The power to be still

The power to wait

The power to lift our eyes

Trusting You are great

The power to tell the things

That haunt us most

"You are no good"

And in Him to boast

The courage to tell

Things in and out

To calm themselves down

Though they do shout

To lower hands

To sit me down

To lay down nightly

Surrender, fall down

To lay at the feet of Christ

The words of our foe

And trust Him to do right

Choose you this day

Whom you will serve

When I hear taunts

I'll refrain from words

I'll ask only God

To give me the strength

The power to be still

The power to wait

In silence in Him

Faith to do great
