God doesn’t copy and paste
God doesn’t copy and paste
by Joel Howard
Every season isn’t the same
Every moment God doesn’t change
Let us not expect
He ran out of strength
He doesn’t resort to copy and paste
I never found out
Along life’s way
That Jesus would cheat, copy or trace
Nor does he color out of the lines
My God does it perfect, every time
You and I are so different
But I’m not to blame
And though I am slower
I should feel no shame
There’s no one just like me
And though you all squint
My signature reads the Name of Him
Whose message remains
The story of grace
His might and His worth
No man can trace
But don’t emulate
His glory and weight
To Him be the glory
There’s no other name
