The seat of grief

For years I have sat in the seat of grief 

I now find comfort there 

Believe me, my first couple tries in grief's chair

Were done kicking and screaming and full of despair

But as I have sat in the seat and found it a friend

I find myself going there again and again

With Jesus in charge and pursuing my heart

Grief is a place where He can impart 

Mountains of blessing to those who will wait

Take a seat in the chair of His grace 

Grief is a threshold behind which Jesus waits!
