Out to get ya

In our sorest moments when empty and alone 

When we have given all out there 

Between the giving and the slowing down 

There is a transition 

And during the stopping 

and breathing it takes to finally receive 

God's grace for the day

There's a little dark voice that comes out to say: 

"I am out to get ya!" 

For Satan thinks his fear might sneak in 

One last invitation for striving 

One last push to overextend 

One last temptation for controlling

But in that moment, I'm telling you friend

In that last minute effort to get you to move

When all God wants you to do is sit down and know Him

Don't give in

Let triumph win 

Just look up and behold Him! 

There's His rest - enter in!
