When I saw failure You saw hope

When I said yes You said nope

When Satan told me I had lost it all

You were thinking the loss was small

Compared to your conclusion

my thought was an illusion

I have been so down on life 

but You asked me to think twice 

before condemning life as waste

Life with You is an acquired taste

Not all has to be sweet

I don't have to give myself over to what competes 

for the "yes" of my soul - I can resign and give up control

Be okay with Your perfect will

I had lost all hope of life 

and then You asked me to think twice!
