New mercies

I wake up today - O what a relief!

I've never experienced mercies like these! 

I look up at the sky - its bragging on You 

You're a God like none other and Your mercies are new!

I sing a new song of all you have done 

The sun rises like it always does 

yet the day is a brand new one! 

So when your day is exhausted and so is your mind, 

go to sleep, my dear friend, it is resting time 

for in waking up again His love will be fresh

much fresher than coffee, and his mercy is the best!
