Love, not comparison

I am fighting a cruel battle 

against hate and hateful thinking 

both of which leave me stranded 

Jonah hated his life and the lives of others 

When he didn't get the outcome he wanted

I am excavating love or as I tell my daughters 

Filling up my "love bucket" when it is empty 

God's love is a river and I am drinking there
