I put my child to bed tonight 

and she encouraged me with profound insight

She squeezed my neck and held me tight 

saying, "God has all the peace in the world!" 

I looked her deep in the eye 

and continue thinking on this tonight

What divine words from a little child! 

God you have all the peace in the world! 

We lack not because You lack not

We fear not because You aren't afraid

We trust all of Your plans God 

because they are the plans that You have made! 

You have all the peace in the world

Enough for every man, woman, boy and girl

Enough for my heart in its steady turmoil

You have all the peace in the world!
