We hear of shootings in our cities 

endless sorrows for so many 

what led people to murder strangers

innocent and free?

Remember that time you couldn't understand

your rage within and you had a choice

to seek God or pursue sin?

And what happens when we choose

sin time and time again?

Every hard heart is a tragedy

Every cold soul a misery

Each calloused person a danger

to the whole world through

Today if you hear His voice

do not harden your heart

for every hard heart is a tragedy
