Ask the diagnostic questions
Ask the diagnostic questions
by Joel Howard
We are so quick to cover up:
"Throw a band aid on that muck!"
We hide from knowing what we face
For fear of realistic news and disgrace
But the problem is when we hide
The wound gets filthier inside
More grievous than before
Our wound gets deeper and smells more
It does more damage than it would
if we with straight forward questions had stood
A diagnostic probe is what we need
Before we run from God, before we ignore our need and flee
We must know our depravity diligently,
and count the cost of hardening
what God could save
if we'd bend the knee
Friend, may courage be yours to face the scary
and reveal what sin has buried
Ask the diagnostic questions
and see how miraculous God's grace is!
