Today I packed my sword
in a bag while I thought I was unseen
Joshua saw me and then said,
"Nephew, what are you doing?"
"What if the Lord doesn't come through?"
I asked before we left home
"What if our God is silent
and another takes his throne?"
"That's my fear oft too, my friend,"
he said but took my sword
and returned it to my shelf
then we on horseback mounted forth
"The question has yet to be asked,"
he said, "and I ask you now, friend,
he said, "and I ask you now, friend,
What if, on the contrary, God comes through!"
and with that our conversation ends
