Prayer is not strength

Prayer is not strength
by Joel Howard, September 29, 2018

"Prayer is not strength. Prayer is weakness displayed. It is need proclaimed. Brokenness revealed.  Prayer is not rising to the top but falling on our knees at the foot of the cross.  Prayer is not productivity in resources, but wasting our valuable time at his beautiful feet – like Mary of Bethany.  All in all, prayer is not a strength.  Prayer is weakness personified.  Prayer is our need put in its place.  Prayer is weakness.  Prayer is vulnerability. There is no such thing as a “great” prayer or a “big” prayer or a “nice” or “amazing” prayer. Prayer is brokenness. Prayer is need put out there.  Prayer is lowliness and a rending of the heart."
