Inner smile

Sometimes I feel an inner smile

I haven't felt it since I was a child

Was mean to myself most of my life

Couldn't quite make my own team!

Was the first to laugh at me falling down

The last to cry when I was sad

Now I guess I finally gave it a try:

Counting the things I have done right

After awhile it changed my insides

Into an inner smile
