I carry my therapist room with me

I carry my therapist room with me
by Joel Howard

Its hard out there
Loneliness is severe
You give and you give
And you get nothing back
You place trust out there
And in return
You're slapped, you're beaten
You're bruised and you're scorned

Only the love of a heavenly King
Only the love of my Father
Can give me the fire
That this soul needs
To make it in such poor weather

I carry my therapist room with me
You've just judged me in your heart!
"How can you need such ongoing therapy?
You lack strength, you are weak, you are small!"
Friend, you are right about my weakness
And my lack of strength
You are right that I'm peripheral and small
And this soul needs such constant advice
I've lost my way more than once or twice

I carry my therapist room within me
Through solitude I find my way
I carry a counselor deep in my soul
He guides me each way today
I carry my healer deep in my heart
He ever lives to intercede
I carry divine judgement in my inner man
I carry his room within me
I carry his room within me

And I will go there, go there
Yes I will go there!
Go there each hour of the day!
And I'll go there, go there
Yes I will go there!
Until in heaven forever I stay!

And I will go there, go there
Yes I will go there!
Go there each and every day!

And I'll go there, go there
Yes I will go!
Until he calls me home by name!

I carry my healer deep in my heart
I carry my Savior inside
His name is Jesus
The same man
Who healed weary sinners
Centuries ago
Its with this same Jesus I come
And I go
Its with this same Jesus I go!
