For what I didn't earn
For all that's not mine
For heaven's refrain
Gently lullabying

For the sounds and the sights
I can hear heaven crying,
"Where can you go without God!"

Jesus slows me
He says with the deepest of sighs
From full experience
He speaks from the heart

As he strokes my face
And to every question replies,
"Where can you go without God!"

All of my days
All written down
Lord of the ages
Here I bow down

Grateful for my lack of centrality
That all does not depend on me
Grateful for your work in me
Grateful, my God
